The Train
THE GOLDEN EAGLE TRANS-SIBERIAN EXPRESS
The Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express features 21 new carriages including two cabin styles; Gold and Silver.
Gold Class cabins are amongst the best in rail travel available today, featuring modern en-suite amenities including power showers and under floor heating. Cabins are excellently appointed and equipped with state of the art DVD/CD player, LCD screens, audio system, individual air conditioning, recessed lighting and wardrobe space. Gold class has an area of 77 sq ft.
Silver Class cabins are smaller than Gold Class but still have modern en-suite facilities with a smaller shower area. All cabins will feature the same amenities available in our Gold Class cars, but carriages will contain six cabins as opposed to five in Gold class and have an area of
60sq ft.
Restaurant Cars
Our chefs use the finest of local ingredients for lunch and dinner. From traditional and world renowned 'Borsch' to cavier and Omul; fish unique to Lake Baikal. Quality wines from around the world compliment our meals, along with mineral water, soft drinks and naturally, Vodka.
Bar Car
The social hive of activity is our Bar Car. Featured on every departure it provides guests with the ideal setting to watch the passing countryside, writing postcards, talking with fellow passengers or for pre and post dinner drinks. Serving an extensive array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, it stays open until the last person leaves. Our Golden Eagle train features our newly designed and built stylish Bar Car.
Conditions
Deposit and Full Payment Details:
A non-refundable deposit is required with the full balance payable 75 days prior to departure date.
Heritage / New Heritage / Silver - $5000 per person
Gold - $5500 per person
Travel Insurance:
It is a condition of your booking that you take out adequate travel insurance cover at the time of booking. Cover can be arranged on your behalf however if you take an alternative policy coverage must be the maximum available, with a minimum of US$50,000 or equivalent for medical expenses.
Passport & Visa Information:
A passport with a minimum of 6 months validity is required for all tours. Visas are required for Russia, Mongolia and China. Don’t worry we will get those for you but we will need your passports for as while. Visa processing is part of our service and we will only charge you the relevant consular fees.
Minimum Passenger Requirements:
All tours require a minimum passenger number to operate. Should this not be reached we will offer a modified service to accommodation a smaller group or offer and alternative tour. If not alternative is suitable a full refund will be offered.
Refunds
Cancellations:
75+ days: Loss of deposit
Within 75 days of departure: 100% of the total cost of the holiday.
Amendments:
If you wish to alter your booking (eg, a change of date or transfer details) we may allow this at our reasonablediscretion. It may not be possible to make changes close to the departure date and no changes can be made or accepted within 50 days of departure. An amendment fee may be charged to cover any fees or costs incurred.
